General Terms of Service
Couch Cleaning Services provides comprehensive couch & blinds cleaning services. Please note the following terms apply to all service bookings:
- A standard call-out fee of $150 applies to all services.
- Free quotations are available via phone inquiries. However, on-site quotations will incur a minimum call-out fee of $150.
- Service-related issues or complaints must be reported within 24 hours of job completion. Claims lodged after this timeframe will not be considered.
- If, during the provision of services, additional damage is identified or further work is required, supplementary charges may apply.
- Customers are required to permit our technicians to take before-and-after photographs of the serviced items.
- No shrinkage guarantee is provided for couch cleaning services.
- Quoted prices for upholstery, mattress, couch, carpet, and tile cleaning are subject to revision upon inspection.
- Complimentary storage of cleaned goods is offered for up to 21 days from the date of notification of completion. Thereafter, a storage fee will be charged. In instances where subcontractors are involved, Couch Cleaning Services disclaims liability for goods held beyond 21 days.
Booking, Cancellations, and Amendments
- Customers may cancel or amend bookings by contacting our customer service team via toll-free number or email.
- Cancellation must be made at least 3 hours prior to the scheduled service time to avoid a call-out fee.
- A call-out fee will apply if cancellation occurs upon technician arrival.
- Rescheduling service date and time does not incur additional fees.
- Couch Cleaning Services reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments in cases where services cannot be secured, or where unforeseen circumstances arise.
Access Requirements
- Customers are responsible for arranging suitable parking for service vehicles. Any parking fees will be added to the invoice. Additional surcharges may apply if suitable parking is unavailable.
- Customers must ensure that technicians have access to running water and electricity at the property.
Pricing and Quotations
- The minimum call-out charge is $150, subject to variation based on the service type.
- Minimum call-out fees for duct cleaning or repair range from $180 to $200, depending on distance and property type.
- Payment is due in full on the day of service completion, and may be made by cash, credit card, or AMEX.
- Full advance payment is required if the customer is not present at the property during the service.
- Couch Cleaning Services reserves the right to amend quoted prices if property or item conditions differ from the description provided at booking, or if additional work is requested.
- For multi-storey apartments, portable machines are used. Additional charges apply for properties located on the 2nd floor or above without lift access.
Claims and Limitations of Liability
- Technicians will not be held responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions that cannot be remedied through regular cleaning processes.
Stain Removal
- While every effort is made to remove stains, complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Results vary depending on the nature, age, and fabric of the stain.
- Certain stains, including those caused by bleach, ammonia, acids, dyes, grease, or other high-alkaline solutions, may be permanent and non-removable.
- Sun-damaged or discoloured items may be cleaned but stain restoration is not guaranteed.
- The effectiveness of stain removal is also influenced by prior treatment attempts.
- Additional charges apply for heavily stained items.
Odour and Mould Removal
- Couch Cleaning Services endeavours to eliminate odours and mould; however, complete removal is not guaranteed.
- Customers engaging services for odour or mould removal do so in acceptance of these limitations.
Pest Control Services
- Customers must vacate the premises for at least 2 hours during pest control treatment.
- Inspections are limited to accessible areas only; inaccessible areas cannot be covered.
- Technicians provide reports and general pest control guidance following inspections.
- A standard call-out fee applies to inspection-only requests.
Carpet Cleaning Services
- Carpets faded by sunlight or general wear and tear can be cleaned but cannot be fully restored.
- Couch Cleaning Services is not liable for latent or hidden damage identified during carpet inspection or cleaning.
- Carpets with sub-standard dyes may experience discolouration during cleaning; such cases are not eligible for complaint.
- Quoted prices are estimates only and may be adjusted based on actual carpet condition.
- Couch Cleaning Services is not responsible for issues including weak dyes, sun-fading, brittle carpets, chemical damage, high traffic wear, latex deterioration, or texture changes post-cleaning.
- Carpets and rugs require 6–8 hours to dry, with adequate ventilation recommended.
- Carpet cleaning charges are calculated per square metre, with an additional fee of $3/m².
Couch and Drapery Cleaning
- Couch Cleaning Services is not liable for latent damage, dye migration, or UV-related deterioration not visible at inspection.
- Couch shrinkage of 5–10% is considered within industry standards, and Couch Cleaning Services accepts no responsibility for shrinkage.
- Rubber backing may be damaged during dry cleaning, for which Couch Cleaning Services does not assume liability.
- Larger couch are charged based on measurement.
Upholstery Cleaning
- Pricing may differ between standard and oversized couches.
- Ottomans and chaises are charged as one seat when included in upholstery packages.
- Individual pricing applies to ottomans, armchairs, and recliners.
- Fabric upholstery cleaning costs vary according to fabric condition.
- Additional fees apply to leather upholstery.
- Couch Cleaning Services is not responsible for dye or colour migration on leather upholstery.
- Pricing calculations are based on the seating capacity of the couch.
Tile and Grout Cleaning
- Couch Cleaning Services is not liable for unforeseen tile and grout conditions, including loose, chipped, or scratched tiles, missing grout, or UV damage.
- Full tile replacement is not offered. Only minor surface damages can be addressed.
Duct Cleaning
- Quotations for duct cleaning are subject to on-site inspection, depending on premises type and number of levels.
- Couch Cleaning Services is not responsible for pre-existing or hidden damage, including leaking ducts, cracked insulation, or fiberglass damage.
Mattress Cleaning
- Mattress cleaning charges vary depending on size and pre-existing condition.
- While all efforts are made to remove stains, complete removal is not guaranteed.
- Fluids that have penetrated deeply into the mattress may not be fully eliminated.
- Couch Cleaning Services is not responsible for discolouration of mattresses.
Pricing Factors
When preparing quotations, the following considerations are taken into account:
The type of carpet, upholstery, couch, or fibre being treated.
The extent of soiling and staining.
The type of property and accessibility of the premises.
The previous cleaning history and condition of the item.
